    This is my Ancestral Home, built by my forefathers almost 300 years ago, who were one of the Sardars of Peshwa Regime. It was originally a seven storied construction, but about 200 years ago, during the uncertain times after the demise of Maratha Regime, it was attacked by the mob of bandits (Pendhari) with the intention of looting. However they could not succeed in their plans, but they managed to burn the upper four stories by throwing the fire torches. The remains could be seen even upto my childhood. The entire construction of this house is of Burma Teak Wood & finely ground Morter which is stronger than the cureent RCC structure. The most important part of this house is that we have our own private temple of Lord Sheshashaye, the idol being gifted by Peshwas to my forefathers & we are ( my family) absolutely certain that there is a presence of Shesha Nag in this house of ours. Daily Pooja, Patha are performed & offerings are made to our Lord Sheshashaye with whose blessings we have survived all the vagaries of the times. This palatial structure is built on an area of approx. 10,000 sq. ft. and the temple & the courtyard in front of the temple have been preserved in the original condition, although many modifications have been made in rest of the structure, so as to maintain it in a fit condition. I am proud of my Ancestral Heritage & consider myself fortunate to have the omnipresent blessings of Lord Sheshashaye & Shesha Naga.
